1. Purpose and Nature of Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki
Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki is an energy-based modality intended to support relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care, and should not be used to diagnose or treat any health condition.
2. Confidentiality Expectations
Any personal information or experiences you share during the session will be treated with the highest level of discretion and respect. The practitioner will not disclose your personal details to any third party without your explicit written consent, except as required by law.
3. Limitations of Confidentiality
If you disclose an intent to harm yourself or others, or report abuse or neglect of a vulnerable individual, the practitioner may be legally obliged to take appropriate action, including notifying authorities.
4. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Voluntary Participation: Your participation in Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki is entirely voluntary. You acknowledge and accept any risks associated with receiving energy work, which may include temporary discomfort as emotions or sensations surface.
No Guarantee of Results: While many individuals find Reiki deeply relaxing and beneficial, results vary. The practitioner does not guarantee any specific outcome or improvement in your condition.
Not Medical or Therapeutic Treatment: Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki is a complementary wellness practice, not a replacement for medical treatment, therapy, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for seeking any needed professional support before, during, or after the session.
Release of Liability: To the fullest extent allowed by the laws of Alberta and Ontario, Canada, you release and hold harmless the practitioner and any affiliates from all claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from your participation, including physical, emotional, or psychological harm.
5. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta and Ontario, Canada. Any legal action related to this agreement shall be brought in the courts of these provinces.
6. Acknowledgment and Consent
By signing below, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Confidentiality and Liability Agreement. You acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily, fully comprehend the nature of Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki, and accept any associated risks. You also acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to ask any questions and that such questions have been answered to your satisfaction.
